Il Dipartimento USA dell'Interno ha approvato il secondo progetto solare su grande scala su terreni pubblici in Nevada. Dopo aver dato il via libera nel mese scorso ad un impianto da 50 MW da realizzare nell' Ivanpah Valley, a 60 km a sud di Las vegas, ha ora approvato la costruzione dell'Amargosa Farm Road Solar, costituito da due impianti a concentrazione da 250 MW, per una potenza complessiva di 500 MW. I due impianti saranno costruiti nell'Amargosa Valley su 4.350 ettari di terre pubbliche gestite dall'Ufficio per la gestione del territorio dei Dipartimento degli Interni. Il progetto ha superato una accurata analisi ambientale, nel corso della quale il National Park Service ha lavorato a stretto contatto con la società proponente (Solar Millennium Llc) allo scopo di contenere lal massimo l'occupazione del suolo e di sviluppare un piano innovativo di mitigazione dell'uso della risorsa idrica, che possa servire da modello per futuri progetti solari termodinamici su grande scala. In relazione a quanto previsto dal Recovery and Reinvestment Act in materia di incentivazione per i progetti energetici innovativi, la Solar Millennium potrà avvalersi di circa un miliardo di dollari di crediti d'imposta sugli investimenti. So, when the government of France awarded him the Volta Prize for inventing the telephone, he combined this monetary award with the money hye made from selling the patent on another invention to establish the Volta Bureau in Washington, D. C. . Its purpose was to fund research on deafness. Today, it is called the Alexander Graham Bell Association. Its role has been changed to providing the latest information to the deaf of the world on how best to cope with their disability.
